Its a right pain. Sem is taking ages. Its the last thing we are waiting on with this massive order from the US. I just want to get it finished so I can have a drive!!!

Pics of catch can not working?

Just wondering why you're using a Pipercross air filter? Did you pick that or did Backdraft fit it?

We supplied the filter and we use them on most of the cars. Great flow and non oiled.

Non-oiled, interesting, I thought foam filters needed an oil to catch the particles?

Also - how good do you rate the Forge big race intercooler?

Pipercross use some special stuff called MX foam which doesnt need oiling.

The race intercooler gave a noticable improvement on Adams car. Dropped around 15 degs intake temps with much more punch at the top.

Is there a benefit to fitting one of these to a standard car, whether you intend on tuning or not? I read that they can give longer life to other engine components? (let's assume that this owner doesn't mind spending the money on this IC)

If it was me then I would have the race one. There wont be much boost drop over the smaller one, but the lower temps will be the biggest benefit.

Ah good to know - thanks for the info. I was looking at the new Pipercross Venom kit but don't know if it's restrictive or not, says it's been made in conjunction with a WTCC team.

So this should be a dry foam filter inside then?

I know the old Venom was an oiled foam filter, but I dont know about the new Venoms. Ive just send an email to our px suppliers with a few questions about the filter.

That was what I thought, so even if the rest of the car isn't being tuned yet, the big race IC would still benefit the car... sorry to put this in your RR thread Buch, but I may be making further enquiries on this subject soon... thanks Backdraft:clap:

The new Venom is lightly oiled and they dont currently make a specific kit for the Cupra R, but you can get a universal one that just needs a reducer.

I saw this at Backdraft while my car was getting rear poly bushes and a service,
The engine was half done and i really liked the engine colour coding!
