:) Cheers Benny, good to see you still pop by the forum. Got a new two wheel toy sorted yet?!

Luckily the manifold pictured above isn't mine - admitedly it's an unknown risk with the new JBS cast mani but on the surface at least it looks to be the highest quality one out there at the moment so I'll have to wait and see how it holds out. I'd hope the WMI should also help control EGTs to a limited extent too

Indeed i have ;)

This isnt how it is staying, Santa has got me a few carbon bits to fit aswell as a tail tidy and im just waiting on a few bits to arrive back from the sprayers.

Im still quite active on the forum, the Mrs likes the look of the mk4 so we may end up looking for a pd130\160 in the summer so i might be back AGAIN!

At least if you where to have any problems from the JBS manifold there in the UK where as Kinetic are based in the states and although gave me a 'free' manifold i was still expected to pay the shipping charges and import dutys somthing JBS should be able to overcome.

Awesome :D

Yeah true, though JBS still insisted I covered the delivery costs of sending both my *faulty* manifold back and getting the new one sent out to me, go figure.

The correct parties have been notified about it and they are going to make a descision. The problem is this week is PRI and getting feedback is hard as most of the staff are out at the trade show. Its been what? 2 days? From the looks of it the manifold can still run fine...

Yeah i'm sure it still runs fine. There's was no leaks that i noticed and no obvious loss of power. But if its like this after a few months on a standard K03s then what's it going to be like on a hybrid K03s?

I am willing to bet the same....I have yet to see one of our manifolds fail to the point where it is an exhaust leak causing grown men to cry

my manifiold done that to me.... not one of yours mind
i went through 3 ATP manni's when i had my car, and all 3 cracked in exactly the same place as the pic shows, the 3rd time the blowing was so bad it was effecting the AFR of the car, blowing gaskets weekly, effecting performance and killing spool time, i was forever getting my turbo flange reskimmed and manni repaired/swapped as the blowing just warped the flange, was an absolute state!

this is the point you will see a grown man cry :)

Quick update from Bill today... he's now finished refitting my head and JBS cast manifold so the engine is all back together :)

He's now in the process of bead rolling my intercooler pipework to prevent any hoses coming off under boost, and a larger 3 quart WMI tank has been fitted in the boot to replace my previous one which was a little on the small side.

Once complete, Bill can then check my map and see whether there's any more torque to be had with my new forged rods now installed and ready to take a beating :D The manifold may also have made a subtle difference...

Having followed a few other recent threads on here I've also decided to ask Bill to install a Forge UNOS MBC before adjusting the map to see if this helps sustain smoother (and hopefully stronger) boost delivery. The N75 just seems too spiky and unpredictable for my liking.

After that, this just leaves my VT rear wishbone bushes to be tack welded into place after the nearside one has seemingly dislodged itself, affecting the steering quite noticeably. Watch this space :)

Forge MBC FTW! (Edit, loving the definition of for the win lol!!)

it is a cheap mod, but is a nice addition to cars running high power as IMO, the N75 does not cope with it well with it surging and making for a jerky ride

just go to fluid it up again and turn the key (tomorrow)

No white stuff here so logging should be fine

We'll see :) Don't really know what to expect and neither does Bill I think until he starts logging again

The more aggressive the power delivery the better for me, childish but fun :D

I would be wary of these 300bhp numbers guys.. I know the turbo manufacturers claim this, but its a huge ask, and a happy dyno combo imho.

we will see.. fingers crossed :)

Indeed. I only have previous logs to go on at the mo which (IIRC) showed 227 max g/s, with added contribution from 8.25 degrees of additional advance from the water meth

Whats a realistic expectation for the ko3 hybrid units then Bill? With all important mods already inplace ie fmic, full turbo back exhaust, stage 3 map etc etc but not including WMI?

Will these make a solid and true 250-270bhp?
