there aint much difference i know, but with s3 injectors, Spec clutch and flywheel, Peloquin Diff, Blue flame turbo back exhaust, Custom code Phase 3, front mount, jbs mani and more its def running 306 and the fly, so the print out says anyway ;-)

There is NO difference mate as the inards of the turbo are removed and replaced with k04 items.

JBS's rollers are known to be optomistic too.

Cant say im to happy looking at those pics too. Had mine on about a month now, will have a look at it when i get my ko3hybrd fitted in january time. Fingers crossed there are no cracks.

Thought it would hold up abit better than the pics suggest, i mean my standard manifold had done 70k and had no signs of cracks!

Waiting to hear back about what happens next?
The correct parties have been notified about it and they are going to make a descision. The problem is this week is PRI and getting feedback is hard as most of the staff are out at the trade show. Its been what? 2 days? From the looks of it the manifold can still run fine...

And a brand new 2.0 FSI engine left the dealer day before and the camshafts seized in the head.
Could be many reasons WHY the manifolds cracked but in all honesty I am seriously starting to wonder if any of you realize what your posts are doing to my company and image.Creating necessary havoc and panic does no good for everyone....allready we have 1 guy selling his manifold without even fitting and another contemplating whether he should use the manifold or not.

Honestly guys are my requests too hard to ask? Should I just give up and assume that the consumers always have the last say? Help me understand here because clearly alot of you are not understand what it is like being in our shoes.

Samy, send me one and I wont complain ;)
Not worried with you Damien,
Just that I am trying my absolute best to please the Seat crowd and over the last 3 weeks it is nothing but back firing.
Makes me feel like I have failed at serving the community and I do not like failing at anything.:(

k03 and k03s hybrid are exactly the same thing mate.

There is NO difference mate as the inards of the turbo are removed and replaced with k04 items.

JBS's rollers are known to be optomistic too.

Sorry Damien, but in my case there is a difference :)

In a nutshell, if you keep the compressor housing of a K03S it makes a difference as these are slightly larger than a K03. Turbo Dynamics/early JBS04s retain the standard housing but mill it out, CR Turbos replace it altogether with a K04 housing; this being the only instance where it makes no difference as the hot sides (as standard) are identical.

Robbie again sorry for threadjacking your thread.

No worries, if this thread helps identify and address any issues then great.

Thanks Calum :)

Sorry to hear about your issues. Interesting how these manifolds (of various manufacturers) always give in the same place on the collectors along a bolt hole - just like Benny's Kinetic did, twice :(

Great read Robbie, to me it looks like your proberly going to have the best specced hybrid around ;) Will be very interesting to see what bill can gain out of the rods etc...

As for the pics of the INA manifold, theres no suprize there my last two Kinetics cracked in exactly the same place and the same as the THS manifolds i have seen, i have my doubts if the JBS will be any different as its still cast.

Sam might honour you a new one but i can guarantee it will happen again with the temps the hybrid produces, my k03s managed to crack my first one. I found the best fix is to smear some JB weld over the crack i done this a good 3 months ago and its still holding up now (I see my old car last night).

:) Cheers Benny, good to see you still pop by the forum. Got a new two wheel toy sorted yet?!

Luckily the manifold pictured above isn't mine - admitedly it's an unknown risk with the new JBS cast mani but on the surface at least it looks to be the highest quality one out there at the moment so I'll have to wait and see how it holds out. I'd hope the WMI should also help control EGTs to a limited extent too
