Sorry, I didn't mean to suggest that they were ****, but let's just say that I can't see D.K putting his name to them (that's meant as a compliment to D.K BTW )

Looking at them, either his mould is different for the two sides, or he's just trimmed them differently for some reason. They're certainly not a mirror-copy of each other.

My only worry is that they'll look too clearly fixed over the top and not actually carbon fibre mirror covers (ie they're mirror cover covers)

Yeah, that's fair enough. I am trying to weigh up whether they're worth the cash or not. Bear this in mind: This carbon fibre part is for my old bike. It is made by a company called Akrapovic, who everyone who is in to bikes should be familiar with. They're better known for their exhaust systems, but their carbon fibre stuff is amazing too. This little bit:

Costs €75.76, or approx £68.41. Now look at where it goes to get an idea of how big that piece is:

See it? Just in front of the rear sprocket? Tiny eh? So, should I complain about the quality of these parts for this price? I don't know still.

By the way, that part sticks over the original, rather than replacing it, too

The thing with real carbon is it takes a lot of practise to get it right, and this can be very expensive, maybe the the guy is selling off these bit's cheap as they are practise pieses.

I would like to see more pictures than just this though:

Would you put some kind of spacers on the wheels to fill the flared arches, wider wheels, or something else?

This is John Cross's work.
He owns X sport racing used to be in bracknell binfield . He has an ebay shop where he makes real carbon and fiber glass panels for just about everything. ... [B)]

Well we still don't know how well they fit. With the lack of daylight I had to delay that until tomorrow... maybe I'll also get around to trying the shoe-polish on the steering wheel while I'm at it? I'm trying to reserve judgement for now. That said, I don't think these should be sold as quality parts if they're practice pieces.

Joe, you don't happen to know if there are any better photos available anywhere do you?

Joe, if you don't mind, it would be very much appreciated. His stuff looks good, and I'm sure a few people would be interested, but the site only had that one pic. Maybe it shows enough? A couple more pics of Leon parts would not go unappreciated though

Good point.

Has anyone seen these by the way? Don't recall them being mentioned anywhere:

Just thought, with a few people mentioning CF bonnets, that this may be of interest? £409.99

didnt some report these to not fit very well?

my friend made a good point the other day, as he has just bought a CF bonnet for his Ibiza cupra, about where the window washers go or how well they fit etc

I dont know of a CF bonnet that is a direct or easy fit so far

someone prove me wrong though please as I desperately want to replace my poor stone chipped bonnet at some point
