Looks ok. Quite similar to the old one isnt it although I suppose theres only so many ways to make a k03 mani. The welding was the shortfall of their last manis remember though. Also it would be nice with no edges in the part above unless its just the pics and its actually smooth flowing.

HI

Perhaps we are missing somthing here ?

How do you fasten the turbo (ko3) to the manifold ? The bolt holes should be around 3mm from the edge of the turbo in port on the manifold.

The collector seems to have no mounting holes ?

Or do you fasten a adaptor flange to the bottom ? then bolt the turbo to that ? this would make 3 surfaces that need a gasket ?

Also a very odd collector , if you follow the flow it seems to have direct port to port feed. One of the major things that we tried to eliminate.

But very nice to look at :)

It's going to use adapter plates and yes you're right, that means more faces to gasket and more chances of blowing.

I'm not unhappy with the JBS manifold, just the collector looks a bit restrictive in 2 places, but time will tell how it performs, at 14psi it is fine so far, but we'll see what it's like at 24psi (in 700 miles)!

Yes you are missing something. What Rob said when he first posted the mani:
Apparently the manifold comes with an adapter plate so you can use a K03, IHI or GT28 type turbos on this manifold.

Did that not make it obvious?! :headhurt:

Forget the bracket Alex, I've made one myself, fits a treat and the pipe is rock solid.

320 miles done so far, still no issues so it's all good, no oil or water being used, car feels good on wastegate spring pressure only (14psi) so I'm looking forward to cranking it up to around 22psi in 680 miles. Next oil change in 180 miles.

Do you think you will do the miles before the new year?

I think we'll be looking at a RR day about February if your keen for this. By then I hope to have done my bits and pieces and be ready for it

Nothing happening just now, 0 degrees outside so not working in that! I'll fit the pulleys as soon as I get the chance, still not sure how to remove the alternator pulley, nobody has given me a straight answer on what sort of tool is required. I'll do the pulleys at the next oil change, in 180 miles time.

400 miles done, oil change at 500 - 600 miles left to do, should have them done by the end of January ... can't wait to really open it up again! :D

I'll be fitting these at the next oil change:

The Fluidampr is supposed to quieten down the single mass flywheel clatter and smooth the engine out at high revs - sounds good to me, perfect for trackdays. Got some new high tensile bolts and Nordlock washers for fitting them.
