I wasn't happy with having so many joins in the intercooler pipe run, plus cutting pipes and having no proper beads on the ends, so I picked up a 2nd-hand OE LCR charge pipe and got 2 Forge hoses as well, plus the proper bracketry to mount the pipe.

2nd-hand pipe:

After spraying it with 2 coats and the brackets too with satin black engine paint:

Now looks like this:

Far fewer joins and proper beaded pipes. Stealth look too, not into bling or polishing things these days. :D I still have to tidy up some hoses to get things a bit neater.

One question for LCR owners - what does the second bracket down near the front of the charge pipe bolt on to?

Mines not an LCR as you may know but I also have the charge pipe, its bolted to the bracket that holds the belt tensioner next to the alternator, i can take a pic tomorrow if you like.

That's great, thank you, just need to find the part number and order one now, I have the brackets for the pipe, just need that one.

I can't find that bracket on VAG-CAT, anyone know the part number for it?

If the JBS manifold isn't up to the job, I have found a suitable, more free-flowing manifold which is an improvement on my old tubular one - again from TIG-ART. They have updated their design, check out the pics:

The new split collector looks very free-flowing compared to the JBS one. Apparently the manifold comes with an adapter plate so you can use a K03, IHI or GT28 type turbos on this manifold.

So if I find the JBS one too restrictive on full boost - I'll be switching to this!

Looks ok. Quite similar to the old one isnt it although I suppose theres only so many ways to make a k03 mani. The welding was the shortfall of their last manis remember though. Also it would be nice with no edges in the part above unless its just the pics and its actually smooth flowing.

No, very different to the old one. Have you seen the JBS collector? Look at this thread: http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=244360 and tell me which one you think will flow better. My old tubular mani never cracked at all.

Runner length and route the same as the old one? Sure I have seen one very similar if not. This one does look better for flow. JBS quality looks very very good though. Your old tubular mani might not have cracked but alot did. Whats the price on this new Tig art mani?

I've got an invoice from when i fitted my TT charge pipe and i'm sure that bracket was the one your looking for

Sorry Rob just gat back from work but ETKA shows two brackets that aren't on the diagram. They're described as bracket for pressure pipe. I'm 99% sure one of them is what you're looking for.

06A 121 066E
06A 121 066D

Also found this pick of the top of the bracket.
