its simons accident repair centre in Irvine.....i will pm u a telephone number and address....i have always used him before and not had any trouble. Alot of people i have recently spoke to seem to have been put off by him saying his work isnt as good as it used to be but i have never experienced any crap work from him so would still recomend him. Like i said will Pm you contact details. Yeah i have been at the gym alot recently so it does sit down there a bit.....thanks for the comments tho, always welcome.

Yeh I know, coz you quite often park next to me and make my dodgy bodywork look even worse lol.

Cheers for the PM. I'll give him a phone and go see him at the weekend

Yeh thats the one. Yeh I train every day pretty much.
The car has been my daily driver for the last 4 years and has taken a fair bit of abuse. And since I have a company car now, I thought it would be time to get the bodywork up to scratch.

I 'think' I met you at Knockhill. I took some phots of a white Leon and I'm sure you were a passenger in it.

It looks ok when its clean but it has a few wee problems that I want to get sorted. Its around the 240bhp/350lb/ft mark tho and I do 800ish miles a week so its been perfect for that

I thouhgt it was illegal to cut your plates down don't they have to be certain size and shape?

i dont think so, i think if ur letters are uk standard, spacing is correct and location and postcode of maker and also BSA is enscribed i think as long as all that info is there it dont matter abouot the length, after all its all just extra "white space" really, whats the need for it?

Wanted to know so found this;

Not sure what it mean by margin the space from the letter/number to the edge? If so make sure they you have not cut them too short think I remember someone on here doing that once.

DVLA rules for number plates fitted after 1st September 2001
Any number plate made up after 1st September 2001 must be in accordance with the dimensions as below:

Character Height
79 mm
Character Width (except the figure 1 or letter I)
50 mm
Character stroke
14 mm
Space between characters
11 mm
Space between groups
33 mm
Top, bottom, and side margins (minimum)
11 mm
Space between vertical lines
19 mm

I've cut down my private plate too. Aslong as the margin either side is the same as the top n bottom margin then it's legal :)

the side covers of the dash board that sit flush to each door pop off and you will see clips that hold the fans in place. undo clips full fans will come out and you will see how they seporate, as for the centre fans, i think u turn them a quarter turn and pull them out but not 100% on tht. good luck.
