Hi

Im new to the writting of posts, but have been looking into DIY dyeing the steering wheel of my LCR (worn due to my extremely bad habbit of turning with the palm of my hand!), and not really looking to spend the £300+ on a new one. Just wondering if others have tried this and what their expirences are.

Iv seen it done on other cars, mainly Jap but seemed to work, also looks like the 3 and 9 o clock sections are red leather dyed black.

Plus looking for cheap fix as skint as hell at the moment, even worse with Christmas round the corner!! ha

I know that feeling.! Wrong time of year for anything like that. I checked the price anyway and you were right. Oh well.! Best of luck all the same mate.!

I paid around £280 for a brand new one from TPS but there was a member on here who used a black marker on his badley worn steering wheel and gearknob. The results looked good in pics but don't know how long it would last. Try searching for it, it wasn't too long ago.

A brand new one is amazing, really sharpens up the interior.

I am trying to change from steering with my right palm tho, don't fancy having to shell out for another one anytime soon!!
