what the main cause's of poor mpg? [ beside's a heavy right foot] only getting 450miles to the tank been told this is'nt that good for remap'd 150 tdi,got the same mpg before remap too?

that mileage per tank seems about right for mixed driving
have used millers since i've had the car, 18 months. have looked for leak but can't find any. how would i check to see if it is the MAF
my average per tank is around 490 - 510 miles, easily 350 of them is on M-way where trip computer tells me i'm getting above 50mpg most of the time, i think what lets us down is probably the other 150 miles on boost around A-roads

I think most people say not to use carb cleaner on MAFs. Use IPA instead

Cleaning the actual MAF. People also do clean the contacts are use dielectric grease on them to keep the contact good. There's some instructions either in a thread on here or linked to from a thread on here.
I didn't do it in the end. I was all set to - IPA at the ready - and then found my MAF was clearly brand new so I didn't waste my time.
