I quite like the fuel gauge, prefer it there where it's out of the way rather than having a fairly useless dial. Tbh i never give it much attention until the bing an low fuel light come on, then i'll keep an eye on the "miles til empty" view on the computer if i'm not near a cheap pump

On briskoda they seemt to think the current mk2 Fabia is based on the old fabia chassis not the new one. Thats where I got my infomation from.

I'm used to using the normal speedo so wont even use the kmph. I always keep the setting on current mpg.

They were, but from 9 chassis they swapped the front subframe, its a straight swap so nothing major.

You cannot change the digital reading of km/h to mph, i've had this conversation on here, with SEAT and with the dealer. It's illegal in the UK. In the UK you need a km/h reading in the car and since the mk5 doesn't have it on the analogue speedo, they put it in digital format on the trip computer LCD.

Not sure whether it could be changed to mph via VAG-COM, i hope it can someday !. I know the European cars have km/h on the analogue dial and mph on the digital readout. Opposite of the UK.

i sometimes misread 160 for 180 (km/h version)
And even in some blured pictures it looks exactly the same !! Look

And also the fuel gauge is very inaccurate. But this happens because the fuel tank is not square as in other cars but it is bigger on the top and smaller on the bottom so you spend more fuel to go from full tank to 1/2 than from 1/2 to none.

When i travel on the highway (not often as this is my city car) the most times i get up to these speeds. Today i traveled 200km with an average speed of 190km/h (most time over 220km/h)

You know, i was convinced this was the case, i had said to my dad that i was sure it went from 1/2 to zero quicker than full tank to half !. He told me i was just imagining it. So i'm glad someone else has noticed too !

Yes, that happens because of the shape of the fuel tank. The top part can be filled with more fuel than the bottom part. But the gauge shows the level of the fuel and not the quantity so thats why it will empty faster when in lower levels.

The pic shows the top speed downhill. On its own it can get up to 230-235. Here there are speed limits at 130km/h but the road i was using did not have speed cameras. (and also there was nobody going slower than 130)
