KENT or vernier pulleys?

hey there,

1997 corby sx 1.6 with kent cams.

After trying everything cars still runnin a bit lumpy and the fuel consumption is getting a bit silly at times. Been to the garage today and been told i need a vernier pulley for my kent cams as they need adjusting. the garage want £148 quid for pulleys. Ive been on the kent site and can find the kent pulleys but they are for the golf/scirroco 1.6/1.8 8v models. these should work right? Its the 1.6 AFT Model engine.

Not sure if they are the same fitment but if they are, i have one on an old Golf GTI engine sitting around doing nowt. no need to spend £148!

Dunno mate, open to offers.
I have seen the piper ones for £115 which is still a saving on the £148.

ive never had one fitted to a car i was driving, i guess so as they wouldnt be able to charge £150 a pop.
