Didn't you like the allards pancake pipe?
I didnt have an allards pancake.

I had the SFS one and it was good but had design flaws so I sent it back with info on what they need to change. I then moved to a 1.8T pancake pipe which is what I have now and that works really well. Hopefully this new round pipe will work just as well and this would mean there are no restrictions left in the system.

So does the 1.8T go straight on? Mine is buggered and I can't deciede what to do, replace it with stock or use a 3rd party supplier. I guess the 1.8T version will be easy and quite cheap.

Is the one you have from the AUQ, ARY engine?

To fit it properly, you will need a sfs turbo outlet pipe as these are 50mm diameter and the pancake inlet in 50mm and the outlet is a 60mm ;)

You get the idea, the standard red pipe wont fit over ;)

The standard pancake off my 110 is on the right, that is the 1.8t pancake pipe on the left, the stock 150 looks completely different and has them crappy connectors. Tho ill be selling this pancake pipe very soon as i have a more free flowing one coming ;)

Not sure if I've got hold of a different pancake pipe (but it looks the same as yours), but the turbo end is 54mm. Will the SFS pipe struggle to fit over this?

This pancake is the 1.8t one, it's completely different to the ones found on a diesel, the turbo end where the sfs pipe goes over is a 50mm diameter and the sfs pipe is a 50mm diameter, giving tight fitment ;) the other end of the pancake pipe is 60mm. Hope this clears up any confusion :)

 I think you saying 50mm I/D and I'm saying 54mm O/D!

I've got a pancake from an Audi 1.8T (like the one on the left).

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but better that than starting a new one.

If you get a FMIC does this do away with the pancake pipe? And if not, jonjay - what pipe did you get?

It depends on what style of FMIC you use, inlet and outlet at either end will do away with it but a twinpass will keep it.
