that would probably work too - but best to have done it on new disks. I could not be bothered to remove the rust, so just painted over the top.

ok seeing folk are asking for pics i test fitted mines the other day, still need to give them a refurb, new pads and brake lines.
so here goes

against the standard calipers on a 312mm disc

its on

(ignore photoshop auto adjusted the pic) you can also see the area that james was on about that isnt covered by the pad - would be worse if he goes for the 325mm disc in the future although this would require another set of carriers

TT ronals on - ET on these are 32 and i have a couple of mm 4 at max

Right mate... use hammerite on the hub / disk that you want covering. It will be fine for your application and I've used this with track cars fine.

Solid pedal is either due to the bedding in needing doing... various ways you can bed in brakes so might be worth looking up online. I use the Ferrodo procedure with mine.

Solid pedal also might be due to the larger calipers which need more pressure at the pedal so the master cylinder might need upgrading to cope easier...

you will need

calipers part numbers 996.352.421 and 996.352.422. 312mm x 25mm discs, custom carriers, braided brake lines, vag to brembo fitment.

porsche fitment brake pads and make sure the carriers come with a fitting kit for pads, spring, pin and clip. also will need porsche pad anti rattle shims.

badger 5 do the lines at 50quid
pad shims from euro car parts at 30 quid
rear 996 pads are circa 60 quid oem or 100quid ds2500s
discs are oem 312mm
carriers come in at 125 quid from a custom maker of ukmkv1s

then whatever you get the calipers for, theres plenty for sale id say 300 tops, so 500 quid is realistic, then diy fit.

its worth getting the whole system pressure bled and changing the fluid to motul rbf 600.

great setup, more than yull ever need for road and light track useage.
