ah, no worries mate, thought it was a 323mm kit you were doing?

how much were the calipers and where did you get the carriers for and how much?

calipers got for 200 quid, then fully refurbed them myself..new seals, pistons etc, powdercoated
carriers were custom made for 120quid

the 996 rears will only take 25mm discs, the 323 cupra r discs are 28mm

all in it cost me around 550 total which i must say is a bargian

errm, quick one...

pads dont seem to cover the whole disc, and where they dont cover( the inside, near bell) is going rusty now...

wtf is going on here, braking is immense, but surely can i remove and treat this rust bit and stop it coming back

try it and see. I used hammerite on my last car and it was fine. I need to do the rear discs on my car at some point. Was just going to use hammerite black again.

As it is a retro fit kit you have, as long as the space is between the hub and the pad instead of the outer face of the disc and the pad then I wouldn't worry. Perhaps different pads will cover a bigger area of the disc
