an annoying update....

firstly, it seems the Stg3 code is generic as the only things you can alter are boost and timing which i can do myself

I went to AMD yesterday to find that the fueling isnt great.. i need to do some investigating but i thought LCR pumps would be fine for around 330/350bhp so (because of the massive outlay recently) i decided to leave it for another day. i am now looking at alternative pumps.

quite rightly they refused to do any RR runs as the best we were getting on the road was 0.93 lambda and the fueling was at 18%!!!!

im kicking myself for not checking this when i got my car back.... Never assume!

So what do we think? not enough fuel obviously but why? the cars running 1bar which feels a little quicker than is was before, say 300bhp. maybe the pump is tired after 2 years running at 4bar and now doesnt like running 550s at 3bar.

this is the first thing im going to change as i will need to anyway if i want big BHP.

In the back of my mind (sorry for not saying earlier I just didnt think not being a petrolhead) I always knew stg3 was generic in the sense it just removes certain things from throwing codes up.

Once the fuel pump is changed will you get a custom map done or stick with revo and up things with uni settings?

I recently mapped a Leon with a 2871 with the revo stage 3 code. The fueling was too lean so a tweeked map was made for it. Perfect fueling after that. It was all due to the positioning of the egt sensor. Ask revo for the new file.

With Revo buddy. the new pump (if it is at fault) wont change anything other than supply the right amount of fuel.

Any logs to see whats goin on?

Sorry Phil no. all the runs we're done on their laptop. i want to get a new pump in before i give it some stick again.

I dont think you will need a new pump. Try the new revo code first. Yes the egt is in the top of the dp, as close to the turbo as possible.
