Yup 3rd gear... the Wife was in passenger seat logging for me and I dont think she was too comfortable in 3rd gear at high rpm let alone 4th :)

what custom map was it mate... 205 seems a generic type map?

custom usually takes in mods such as higher flow dp and cat etc

It was done by a customer of mine who does bespoke mapping for a lot of major companies. They start with a base line then modify the parameters using software they have and their experience ... it took a full day including dyno sessions.

To put a cost on it would be around £1500 but my customer did it for nothing :):clap:

205bhp is a little lower than some companies reckon they offer but this was on a dyno dymanics rolling road which is known for accuracy and we were tuning for torque rather than outright bhp figure. It was also worth noting the car was only producing 170bhp standard for some reason...

It was also a reading done without sufficient cooling to the SMIC which is another story... :whistle:

On the road ... logs point to around 210bhp.

what torque did it achieve then? just seens 252 ftlb

end of the day, bhp means squat, its driveability and smile factor that win hands down. as long as your happy with it.

Ask how much a company who does remapping will charge for a remap + one days dyno session to get it spot on and see how much they say...

Awesome for example charge £105+ VAT per hour :)

It drives perfectly and the curves are perfect... :)

p-torque, 320quid on mine.. custom map on the dyno... took will 6 hours to perfect, came out with 234bhp and similar levels of torque.[B)]

Aye its not money I'd pay myself but I'll tell you this...

Stock... it produced 169bhp and 173lbft

Generic Remap by well known tuning company (supposed to be 212bhp/225lbft :rolleyes:) produced 181bhp and 225lbft with a **** power and torque curve (drove fine on the road though)

Custom Remap... 205bhp and 252lbft with perfect power and torque curves and an improvement of 3-4mpg with better light throttle response.

It's night and day imho between a generic remap and the custom done...

I might have been unlucky with the generic remap but I found it quite jerky and aggressive on light throttle inputs... fine on full throttle...
