Guys, what effects idle? I always allow mine to warm up (LCR) when starting from cold. So does my friend from work with an LC. When we leave work he has buggered off and I am left waiting ages before the idle speed drops from 1500 rpm to 800. It takes 5-7 minutes which I am pretty sure is excessive. If any one has ideas for things I can check, clean, kick please let me know.

May sound odd that I dont just drive off with high idle but for some reason I get a lambda fault code if I dont wait for it to drop.

Cheers

The worry I have is that it takes a long time to settle to normal revs, I will have a hunt and try to find out more on the thermostat, cheers.

Thanks mate thats what I was looking for. So mine does have some sort of problem. Now I just need to find out what controls the idle speed from start up and why it takes so long to drop.

my car only seems to idle for about a minute, i start the car, take it out the garage and then lock the garage and idle then goes off, pretty quick in mine.

mate, try a throttle body reset... helps settle the idle quicker, or try cleaning it then resetting.

did mine and it helped, although mine never took 7 mins, bout 3 normally, a minute now.
