ello! in reply to your text......
Chemical metal is the best filler to use for smoothing out kerb marks. It sets rock hard after 10 mins and is tougher than normal body filler. I use a metal file to shape the filler and then smooth it off with 120 grit paper
yeah, i wanted to do my wheels with chemical metal but it was very dear and a reputable wheel refurber round ere said he uses body filler, so if it's good enough for him.... but I agree, chem metal probably would be better. It held a gearbox together after ken dropped it!
when you say coarse, you'll probably find you can start pretty fine on the face of your wheels as they are in good nick and you can't beat the ally oxide paper for when the water has gone under the paint into the ally, or baked in brakedust.
good luck for the run tomorrow! weather forecast is good i'm told! which would be a first!!
Refurb star fish one's and sell new one's on.
Not a fan of TSW wheels....
nice alloys. if i were you id just put the new ones on as are.
but to pick one of the options......
refurb new ones in matt black and sell starfish ones.
nice mate! really like the bonnet bra! also think them new alloys would look nice in black
hmmm....i would put the new ones on, refurb the old ones in black or dark anthracite....then decide!
look better than i though! where you get the bonnet bra from?

also do those spokes on the new wheels stick out further than the actual rim?
yea definatly.
atleast they have come in handy for the refurb. i bet thats hard work sanding your wheels back.
is there much of a difference in weight between the two wheels?
