brembo's work extremely well. so those who report poor braking must have some serious malfunction going on I think.

Any ideas what this 'malfunction' could be bill? I've pressure bled the system and it made no difference. Like i said though the disks were badly warped when i got the car and the new disks are strting to warp too, even though the braking efficiency is rubbish!!
do they lack bite?
do you have longer pedal travel?
can you describe what they feel like?
mine has been with audi in lincoln for the past 2 days and they have looked round my whole brake system, no leaks or anything bleed them like three times with pressure bleed used loads of fluid and the pedal feels just a little better to when i left it.
pedal feels just as though there is lots of travel before it bites, maybe an inch to an inch and a half then it bites then you can push it say another 1cm then brakes are very good. Why is there so much pedal travel there never used to be!!!!!
Also you can push the brakes once then quickly again then again and feels as though the bitting point moves up so when you press the brakes for a 4th time the pedal only travels 1cm from the top now and brakes very well this is how they should be, its very strange and very frustrating as ive spent xxx amount of money on the brakes and are worse than my std brakes of what i can remember!!!
Hmmm... not sure how to describe it really, ive put up with it for about a year now so kind of used to them. The main thing is it appears to lack bite, i can push on them as hard as i like and it still just gradually slows down the car, even if i stamp on the brakes it doesnt start to lock up enough to make the ABS kick in. When i drove my mates passat (bog standard brakes) a few months ago the brakes felt a lot more 'snappy', it just felt so much easier to press the pedal and apply full brakes in an instant. When i press my pedal it feels like i am in the transition stage between fully on and fully off the whole time, and the harder i press the pedal the better it brakes but never gets any where near the efficiency of the passat.
long pedal? firm pedal...?
lack of bite could be pads/disks... how long and what are they on there?
removing the pads and abrading them on a flat surface on some 80 grit paper may take their tired front face off to rejuvinate mayeb.. or the pads themselves might lack bit inherantly.
the servo assist feel, may be a vacuum leak to the servo, as thats where the "assist" comes from. worth checking the pipe with pressure and looking for leaks
my brembos were warped about half a year ago so had the discs and pads changed at great expense but now they feel like they are warped again. how much does a skim cost?
