While changing my headlight bulbs tonight i noticed this small pump/motor type item sitting on the rear of the rad with two wire's to it(offside, looking in from the front).I havent got a clue what it does, looks like its linked to the water system.

When i flicked the igntion for the lights it started to wine and contiuned when the ignition was off. After unpluging it and flicking the igition on again the fans came on ?? ive reconected it now as it was.

Is this ok ??

Thanks

Oh,is it like a turbo timer ??

pretty much in principle, pumps coolant round with engine off

if you are really giving it some 'beans' then a cool off drive is reccomended but normal use the pump covers any standard overheat
