mine is sitting in the garage, took it off as it wouldn't stay on. At next service i'll get the #]dealers to change the plastic fixings. The current ones look all mangled and melted almost.....

The original ones ( clipped into the engine) were plastic and broke, New ones are rubber and much better fit, very cheap as mentioned above

if its loose then keep it off until you can fix it on properly as my one was loose (didnt realise) and everytime the engine moved, the engine cover was making contact with the cable on my fuel pump and eventually broke and had to replace the whole unit.

in my old PD my cover was loose and one morning when i opened my bonnet i noticed that it had come off and knocked my dipstick loose and covered my engine bay with oil at the front!

Anyone know the part number for the clips for engine cover as just found mine is ready to fall off

Did you manage to find this out?

Was just Googling for the clips and this thread came up! :)

Been out for a drive and noticed smoke coming from my bonnet. Stopped and checked and the damn engine cover had come off and knocked the dip stick out so oil had gone everywhere! Its the second time its happened to me now. First time was not long after I had the car and had to have new clips then. The clips seem to last a couple years before perishing or breaking.
