Happy days, sounds like its gonna be a flying machine with the wmi dialled in. Bet you must be happy with it, apart from the clutch tho. lol.

Just out of interest how much more could be had out of these turbos if you did have a built bottom end?

AIT's were superb... 16'C on a 9'C ambient was excellent.. highest I saw from low speed running was 23'C

combo of decent fmic, and wmi working well.

I setup wmi on an LC the day before which coincidenttally also needed the same timing advance extra.. It was 2ltr 20v, cams, 80mm t'body etc etc and 380bhp before wmi advance.. also cool and pokey. 80mph wheelspin in 3rd in dry. very quick leon. (indy)

:)

Yeah I'm more than happy with it Phil :D

The closest thing I can describe it to is feeling the difference when you first get the car remapped from standard and then add in a few big extra grins for good measure. It's a different car and will happily just keep pulling towards max speed without any hesitation or flat spots in a surprisingly small amount of time.

The sound of spool up and the dump on lift-off is also childishly addictive. Why anyone would ever think a 007P can't produce enough noise is beyond me.

It was a very mixed feeling on the way home as it was so frustrating not being able to get the power down to see what it's really made of but even so the difference is still day and night so I can't wait til the clutch is sorted and I can really see what it's made of :)

Yeah the spool up and lift-off dump are definitely louder, although I also re-located the DV to the cold-side at the same time so I can't say how much that has to do with it as well.

I'd say it's pretty similar to yours mate, both pull very agressively which is exactly how I wanted it.

Thanks Bill for the good work... and want to add that this before the WMI kit was installed I could bake a cake in the intake manifold and after installation, .. f**kin awesome, freeze some ice cubes for my JD

Bill with the advancing of timing what sort of power do you recon I'm on?

Also just to add the car pulls alot more stronger than before just need to remember to change the gears in time :) and get the RCM cone filter on for more air..

lol, funnily enough I was literally just checking back over that thread in the trader's section. Looks like they've set a date for the 18th at least so maybe not much longer mate.

Will have to meet up sometime soon so I can show you what it's like, once I've got the clutch, diff and rods sorted :)

I would think another 15-20bhp is realised from the wmi, and it will be sustained with no heatsoak whilst you have the wmi bottle full. ;)

I think yours is knocking on the door to 400bhp now... gut feel from how it flew on saturday

max logged 227g/s ~ 1.25 factor ~ 283bhp (ish) without factoring the wmi contribution to more BANG

Excellent Bill, thanks.

For anyone, including you Robbie, I would recommend going for the bigger WMI bottle as mine which is the 2 Quart Tank seems to finish really quickly.

Yeah I'll definitely be going for a bigger bottle when Bill has some available :)

I've not had the heart to check just how much I used on the way home yet lol, all good

EDIT: checked it tonight and I'ved used just over a 1/3 of the bottle travelling ~35 miles on the way home, though not flat out due to clutch

Since fitting my HIDs I've noticed how yellow my main beam is in comparison so I decided to try some Ebay special "arctic white" bulbs to see if this would help balance it out:

Standard bulbs:

Compared side-by-side:

Even with a lot more space to reach the bulbs now I've moved my battery to the boot and scrapped the standard washer bottle these were still a bit fiddly to get the retaining clips back into place - I hate changing bulbs on these cars.

The result...sweet FA noticeable difference to before :(

With new bulbs fitted:

Whether they give more of a tint when I'm passing cars on the road I'm not sure, for a couple of £ I couldn't really expect much I guess.

While I had the camera out I also took a couple of shots of my WMI tank and pump in the boot, as installed (very neatly) by Bill:

Couple of general shots (needs a good wash):

While under the bonnet I also noticed my carbon fibre dipstick cover appears to have come loose and f**ked off :censored:

I had hoped it may have fallen and wedged itself somewhere down by the rad fans but no such luck it seems :( I may just order an OE LCR plastic cover to replace it, bit gutted to be honest but there you go.
