Hi all,

First post for probably a really easy question. I have a 04 TDI Cupra 150 and want to know what the air intake is at the very bottom of the bumper (behind vents) on the right hand side.
I have highlighted in the attached pic (quite poorly) the area where this intake is.
Not sure this attachment will work but here goes.

Nope attachment did not work. Hope you know what I mean. When facing front of car the two very bottom far right vents have an intake behind them?

You need to host the pictures, not link them from you pc.
Use photbucket or imageshack
Also you need 15 posts to post pictures, but you can leave the http off the beginning ;)

Got a pic up in a round about way. My Avatar. Not my car but if you look real close you'll see a little red circle around the lower right hand vents.

Someone must know what this intake is for.

You will be able to upload an avatar as part of your profile build, but you will need to host your images on:

Google Picasa
Imageshack
Facebook
Bebo
Photobucket

etc...., then link to them on here AFTER you have submitted 15 user posts (or thereabouts). It's all in the rules section here (SEE SECTION 7)

Hi,

From squinting at your avatar it looks like you're talking about the lowest horizontal slat in the bumper - below the one that has the honeycomb grill and the foglights in?

If so then I don't think it actually does anything - looks more like a styling thing to me.

You description is perfect for where the air intake is.
There is definitely an intake there, you can follow it back under the car with your hand till it is out of reach, but cannot see where it goes?

Of those you show I'd say its most like the bottom one, quite flat.
What gets me is it is very low and I have been through a couple of floods over the years with no negative effect?
