hehe
anyone who is complaining that they cant get, or have to dream of getting 400 miles from a tank from an
ibiza 1.2 either has a
problem with the car, or a
problem with there driving.
I think i have an idea which it is..
To clarify, venting means you can put more fuel in, - it will make no difference to the MPG you achieve.
Personally i dont like to vent, seems silly to vent then complain when some of the fuel potentially is lost via the over flow or via heat expansion. Its good to have an air space in the tank (or filler pipe) for a number of reasons. Its designed that way. so dont do it would be my opinion.
Incidentally, when you are only getting 250 miles to a tankful, how many litres do you then need to put in the fill it up?:
250 miles would mean:
litres gallons mpg

ok so the tank isnt the same size, but i get over 400 miles from a tank in my LCR more often than not.
