Right would appreciate it if someone could tell me a few things.

1. where could i find coilovers? or shocks and springs ? want to lowerabout 40mm or 60mm depending on what wheels i want

2. can you run 13's? with low profile tires like 45's on? or whats the least? 14inch?

3. what engine conversion would the ibiza benefit from? What engines are there that are quick (pref boost) and drop straight into the 1.48v with no major modification. Ive seen a 1.8turbo conversion on ebay for £1600 seems abit steep like but , will it go in a mk3 with no problem?

4 whats the PCD wheel fitment? 4x100? same as mk3/4 polos and other golf's?

5. Thanks in advance ahah im a n00b , just come from the vw sceane.

:rolleyes:Right i will get this out of the way first...:search:...But im going to be nice and answer your questions.

1. Whats your budget if your looking for a dirt cheap set then hottuning do some but with the cheap price comes an ultra crap ride.V-MAXX are sposed to be ok, AP are around £370 which i run and so do a few other people on here for the price you cant complain atall nice ride decent build quality. further up than that FK, KW, SPAX. which are around £500-£600 IIRC

2. 13's :wtf: i wouldnt go any smaller than 15's otherwise your wheels are going to look really lost in the arches and imo plain stupid. 16's suit it about right with some 15-20mm spacers on the rear.

3. dont even bother wasting your money on this just buy a mk3 cupra which is already 1.8 20vt...any engine conversion is going to be a big job and more than £1600

4. yes its 4x100 and its ET 37 IIRC

Oh and welcome

thanks for the reply , found some coilover.

But im reallly considering the conversion.. I cant buy a ibiza 1.8t purley because ill never get insured on one. I know im going to get grief now but, its a risk im willing to take dropping a 1.8t in it. Im willing to pay the £1600 for a conversion .... But, how easy is it to drop in the car? Direct fit? new dash loom? Obviously needs aengine loom and a rear disk conversion to be safe ;)

If someone could go through it with me thanks alot

What do you think droping a cupra lump in is going to do to the insurence...???
It will be more than to insure a cupra because it will be clased as highly modified.

Unless you plan on not telling them which is not a wise choice because then your not covered...I no your proberly thinking you wont crash into anything but that doesnt stop other mongs crashing into you. etc etc.

Where did you see this conversion because £1600...just sounds very unrealistic to me.

My advice would be hold out till you can afford a cupra...and work on the strong areas of your car you have now....like styling and handling etc..:)
