This morning I took the car in for a fresh MOT and was pleased to find it passed no problems, the only advisories for the rear brakes which are beginning to pit on the inner edges. Easy enough to replace :)

Here's how low it sat in the pit during the brake test...

Back home on the drive, some quick pics I took with my phone in the sun:

Not looking bad considering I've only snow foamed it and wiped dry with Megs Last Touch. I'll probably give it a proper clean in the week when time permits.

So now I'm all set for Bill next weekend :D

Just an idea but what about carbon fibre bump strips? Dont think its ever been done before? Would look mint with your CF bonnet, might be a pain to make though. Car looks stunning!

Just noticed you need to get a stubby drivers side mirror!

Yeah I had been contemplating one but everyone I've spoken to that's had one fitted said visibility is really poor so not 100% convinced. Form over function? :)

That does sound like quite a fresh idea actually :) They'd probably be a bitch to get someone to fabricate but could finish it off nicely.

I'm a bit conscious about doing "too much", i.e. less is more and I don't want to go overboard with CF but I do like that idea :)

you've got a beautiful car here mate!
have you though about a carbon fibre roof?

Thanks :) A proper CF roof would cost a silly amount of money to do for minimal real gains but I had considered looking into some vinyl wrap, though I'm not convinced it wouldn't look a bit tacky.

:) Thanks. Yeah I guess it's kinda OEM+/Motorsport-y now. I had initially intended on going for a subtle smooth Euro look but I like how it's turned out.

I like the idea of if being quite subtle but different enough for people to wonder about it a little bit.

Yeah if I found some decent vinyl I may consider it. We'll see :)

Had a quick update from Bill tonight :)

I bought a set of the VT ream beam bushes when they were on the group buy which I left at Badger5 to fit, and from what I've been told I'm glad I did :) Bill had to make up a new tool in order to fit them where they were so tight to fit into the rear beam - even after they'd been left in a freezer

Other than that, he's now in the process of fitting my WMI so it sounds like it's coming together nicely.
