Yup i have a ring compressor already i got that there other day...

yeah me and a mate are doing the honing but thats the one i bought in that link u posted..

i found out what my problems were..:

A knackered water pump ftw..

I thought i might aswell give her a clean...been sat for a while

looks like the engine nearly ready for the rebuild mate .

looks like a new pump with a metal impellar are called for mate.

nah not really missing it, i had it for years so wanted a change.

The water pump looks like it has a very nasty mixture of oil and coolant mix on it you sure the head gasket hadnt gone? are you getting the head skimmed and pressure tested?

it isnt the headgasket its the Oil/Coolant O ring on the oil cooler they sometimes corroed overtime...

So got a nice new one off alex...

This is everthing i need and its a OEM Supplier too...This should fit my AYP engine shouldnt it?

Done abit more tonight when i got in from the gym..

I ended up De-glazing the bores and Fitted my new water Pump which i couldnt believe how crap the old plastic one was compared to my metal impellar one...

Should have it all built back up by next saturday..

Yes.

As the rings need something to bed intoo...It will be rought looking but not to feel it isnt....
Was chatting with alex the whole time i was doing it....And i knew what to inspec.

Yeah i also Cleaned it with hot soapy water and brake cleaner...

Will also Clean it agian wen i come to fit the rods ect...

180 Grade Bill with WD40 ....

pics make it look bad as i had the flash on with a torch to make them more in depth..
