jeez what a day..... everything that was missing was meant to be delivered today. im still a huge amount of parts short, i was so close to sending the whole lot back and cancelling the payment.

ive messed my company around with re-organising appointments, cancelling holidays and booking more. i think if they cant get it right for this Friday then ill spend my money elsewhere with someone who worries about their reputation.

I wonder what the definition of a kit is :)

I feel your pain, I have to book a day off, wife has to take a day off (we share the car) and then I need to rearrange the child minder and my mrs and daughter get stuck in the house all day. Had my car in for work last october and I' m still having issues with the mapping.

what sort of issues? what map and who mapped it?

im having some fairly serious issue with this kit. the mani is doing exactly what i didnt want it to do. Dave you know all about this.... turbo is sitting too close to the head and too low down so the inlet is lower than the gearbox. hopefully i should have some sort of response from the supplier on monday or tuesday. i have given them an option of them supplying me with two exhaust flanges (head flange) and 4 45 degree pipes. which i will get welded, this will push the mani up and out to clear the box and linkages...... so far they have said they dont want to.

there are other issues with the kit but i want to see what sort of outcome i have with the mani before i start going on. im hoping that now i am talking to the right people something will get sorted. this is costing me and TotalVAG :(

Hmmmmmmmm that sucks dude! If it were me for the amount of money you have spent I would have thrown it back at them.

Some people seem a little to happy to grab the money and run so to speak imo. :(

Hope i gets sorted asap.

Small update

they were going to pick up the turbo and change the comp housing to a 2 3/4", as I didn't like the idea of that and I also could never see this fitting without changing the mani, they are now sending me a topmount manifold. I wanted to keep everything looking very standard but if I have to go this route to get it sorted then so be it.

Power should be easier and EGTs lower so there are a couple of bonuses to the compromise.

It's going to be tight but hopefully should have the mani and turbo fitted on Tuesday next week.
