Had another gearbox mishap today. On the way to Rockingham I was overtaking a few slow cars, changed into 5th, came on boost (1.9bar), started to fly, then nothing but loads of revs. Got a lift back to work with the AA and found that this had happened!

Just fitting a spare 5th i have as we speak. Its not cryo treated tho, but will do until i can afford some sqs gears or squeeze a 6spd 02M box in.

So im a bit at the mo.

Hey Alex what about getting a 6 speed gear box into your motor would that not work? I believe the 6 speed boxes are probably better, please correct if I'm wrong as you the expert.

Thats with the cryo treatment. All the other gears have been fine so far. I think i will get me some sqs gears. They look very well made. Just depends on costs. Im really not happy with the ratios that i currently have. Too short. 6spd would we a solution, but loads of effort with space, mounts and shafts and i would have to buy another diff. Seems these things happen when you want the power.

lol. Stayed a little bit later on friday to get as much as possible done on your car. All pipework is done inc the exhaust. Its looking nice with all the painted bits fitted. Should have the oil cooler mounted and plumbed in in the morning then its ready for some fluids and the first part of the running in. Your car already has a sort of lower strut brace fitted. Not long now!

I really cant promise it will be done. I should know around lunch time. Your car is fully poly bushed
