Update on the vinyl guys, had a look at it when I got home last night and spotted it had moved / shrunk slightly away from the windscreen. Its only a tiny bit but Im not happy with it - you can see a very small white line above the passengers side of the windscreen.

The guys at Raccoon never mentioned this could happen so Im very p****d off. Will be onto the phone to them today but it needs to be fixed asap. Grrrr!

This is very bad news SECT, especially after the initial great work that the company had done with your car.

Obviously what you are seeing now is not due to their workmanship, but a "characteristic" of the Vinyl ?
Perhaps its got something to do with environmental effects, or how the vinyl is "stretched" over the roof? Will be interesting to hear their verdict when you get back to them...

I know yours has only recently been applied, however long term, I wonder how well (effectively) a vinyl sticker, holds up to wear and tear - car washing / weather - rain / sun / snow / temperature extremes - although the climate in this country is quite stable.... most of the time!

Well Ive spoken to Raccoon today and they have no idea why it has moved. The shrink has only happened on one side which is odd and they did ask a lot of questions about that so I am suspicious - there were two guys doing it, one per side!

Anyway, they have booked it back in for a new wrap on Tuesday to fix it so Im relatively happy again. They were nice guys when I was there and as far as customer service goes they have responded to the issue promptly and offered to replace it. Cant say fairer than that really.

As for the weather, we have had a few days of sun - but I did ask about hot weather, snow etc and was told this should not affect it. Who knows what has gone wrong this time??!!

Well the re-wrap has been done and it looks perfect again. The guys at Raccoon were very apologetic and could not really understand what had happened - they thought it may have had too much heat on it during application.

Never mind though, its back to how it was when it was first done to I am well chuffed!

They had a Bentley in there waiting to get a full carbon wrap - hmmm nice!
