Sold my GTI Edition 30 just days ago and looking to be getting a Leon FR TDI in the next few days the only thing i'm having problems with is the cd player/dash board.

Just wondering if anyone has done any interior mods to make it look better/different?

Also what can I expect from a remap? and does anything else need upgrading to cope with the extra power?

Thanks, Steve.

Thanks again, I really should use the search function. Hopefully will be buying one over the next few days. Need some power back at my feet instead of a 1.1 206 :(

FYI I got a quote from JBS (CustomCode) for a remap, de-DPF, Milltek exhaust for £1,200 ish.

Most recent customer got 227 BHP from that!

Sounds quite impressive. Didnt quite want to spend all that straight away, just a remap to start with. Whats the de-DPF thingy

Its a process that removes the DPF (Diesel Particle Filter) from the car. It acts to reduce emissions but a number of people have had problems with it clogging and causing the car to go into limp mode.

SEAT usually quote some BS excuse :censored: that people "dont drive the car properly".

Basically if you cruise around without using much throttle it tends to get clogged. You have to give it some gas and get your foot down every once in a while. Most people recommend a good blast down the motorway at an appropriate speed  for a few miles every few weeks to burn off the carbon deposits and stop the filter clogging.

From what i have heard from people who have removed the DPF, it envolves a custom back for the exhaust but the results are always reported as excellent.

Shouldnt be a problem

Will have to be careful already had a 10 week ban this year

Thanks for the info, do recall someone mentioning a Golf not been driven properly now on another forum. Any rough ides on price of removal may be better to have it done at the same time as a remap.
