over revving problem

hi all i own a 1.4 mk2 ibiza and for sum wierd reason my car will always tik over at about 4000rpm and no matter what i do i cant seem to sort it out ive checked for the throttle sticking and all the usual stuff but still the same from what i can see it seems like the automatic choke on the carb is pushing the throttle open way too much n causing this problem but how do i stop it?????, hopefully someone can help because everyone i have spoken to so far hasnt got a clue thanx

its not your throttle sticking, the cable has been adjusted too tight id just adjust it so that it stops your car over reving had a smilar issue myself

i have checked all cables and tried ajusting them but no difrance, no theres no change wether the cars hot or cold any ideas on what sensors it could be?

just try taking your throttle cable out of the adjuster all together and see what happens if not i could be 1 of many things

already tried that m8 still no difrance, if i unplug a lead goin to the carb it ticks over fine but cant be driven because it constantly floods so i have to keep it plugd in and continue with the problem
