The sump looks like a fair piece of craftwork, very nice. Shame it's going to be under the car and filled with oil.
The remote oil filter kit does that just reposition the oil filter to where ever you want?
What do you do with the coolant lines that go to the sandwich plate?
Just link them together?
Nice to see a pretty short list of things to do.
I'm sure the list is growing as I type this though, lol

Yup, this will finish off the project nicely

I got my R888's from Camskill, Reyland Motor sport do a good price too.
I tried out seats at Demon Tweeks when we were at the SCN National meet, I'm going for Cobra Suzuka Pro's, fit good and decent price

You will LOVE R888's, best money you can spend IMO. The amount of grip you can attain far surpasses any other mod you can buy.

I use Recaro speeds, a good compromise between all out rigid buckets and sport road seats.

are they really worth the money ? i had thought about getting a diferent set of wheels with these on for next sumer ?

Kind of late to the party but if I had known this I could have done something for you in the billet department.
Do you allready have the mocal sandwhich thermostatic plate?

Depends how well sorted your handling is.
If you have uprated suspension with a stiff ARB set up then the tyre side wall flex will be your weak point, there is little or no side wall flex in R888's

I've had some of the stuff for a while Issam, no worries.

After Wallace telling me the Apexi needed setting up, I found a couple of guides on how to set it up, one written by a respected tuner/mapper, so I printed them off and set about having a go at setting it up today, seems to be better now with constant boost in every gear and holding better too, still more fine tuning to do but it's getting there. I also found that the Forge 007P with yellow spring was holding boost better than the Bailey DV30, so I have swapped to that now.

If Wallace was closer I'd have them do it but they're a 2.5hr drive away. If I'm back up there I'll have them check it over.

Russ at Wallace is a good guy who really knows his stuff. He wasnt there on Saturday, but he is normally there through the week.

One of the many things I did learn at Wallace is that a £90 intercooler does just as good a job as a £600 one! Intake temps never went above 21 degrees and were consistently cool, on the road up and down to Aberdeen for example the outside temp showed as 12 degrees, intake temp was 15 degrees (without the WMI running)!

IMO it is obscene how much reputable companies charge for intercoolers, they should be half the price of what they are.

I've heard they can be quite dangerous on anything but a dry or very slightly damp track/road. For fast road/occassional track use I'd much rather go with Hankook RS-2 Z212's, they are very good in both wet/dry and road/track, a great all-rounder, the R888's are really only for dry track use - even then alot of EVO, Scooby, Skyline, etc. owners don't like them as they go off too quickly and you only get about 4 trackday max. from them ... so I've read.

I'll be getting Hankook RS-2's for next year.

Yeah ive been looking atthe hankooks but to be honest the way my Parada Spec 2's have been holding out i cant see how much better they can be than them.

Again, a good tyre in the dry but bad in the wet, the Hankook's a better all round tyre than the Parada. The Hankook is also classed as a trackday tyre by Camskill, the Parada is not.

Very true, awful in the wet and even worse in the wet on track, but when theyre warm and in the dry theyre awesome, plus theyve last...

3 sessions @ Silverstone, 2 dry 1 wet.
Full track day
Half track day
2 sessions @ Caslte Combe.

And theyre still goin, cant fault them for the price and they still look good, solid sidewalls as theres no wear. :)

I think i might go for the Hankooks tho as ive read the same reviews as you by the sounds of it and they sound a good compromise.
