Right

After test driving the TDi FR last week for 3 days i reckon an order is on the cards.

The problem is i am limited to how much i can uplift my quote on the lease system by so the options have to be carefully selected.

I am going for Nayara Blue with the standard 17" wheels but am struggling to make my mind up whether to go for the Media Centre or the the standard cd player and then add bluetooth and the convience pack.

Unfortuntely i cant go for the media centre and convience pack so am after a bit of help.

The demo car had the lot on it which obviously didnt help.

Is the standard cd player a good unit or is the M/C a big step up in sound quality etc ?

Thanks in advance, Nige

How much do you have available after the blue?

Thats the problem, i dont actually know what the maximum amount is.

I have an allowance from the company which i can then pay extra into to uplift the car i want to go for.

The problem is some manufacturers offer better discounts on the list prices so you can uplift more on them.

The limit for the Leon seems to be around £130 per month on top of the allowance.

At the moment the quoting system will let me go for the met paint and the media pack only or the met paint, the bluetooth and the convenience pack.

The reason for my question was because the demo car i had last week has everything on it, i really liked the media pack head unit but i cant help but think that the convenience pack would be better long term. If the standard cd player is a decent sounding unit then i will be happy with that. I spend a lot of time in the car and love my music so a decent sounding system is also important.

ok, the media pack h/u has navigation as well but for £100 i can get a tomtom which will give me that.

Thanks for the replies guys...

Have you tried adding the "Technology and Convenience Pack" and ditching the paint?

I am considering the above, but if you can't get there, how about trying the Media System and then front and rear parking sensors?

Finally how important are the auto wipers, mirror dimming and headlights to you?

Personaly I would ditch the paint and go for the Media Centre and Convenience pack and then you would have bluetooth with the Media centre.

Tech and Conv pack takes it out of scope without anything else added. Unfortunately !

I thought about this and looked at the FOC paints... this left me with Red, White or Yellow, no offence to anyone with these colours but i dont like them.

I think its going to coe down to my mind being made up for me by the costs of the quotes and what i can and cant have to be honest.

I'm not a fan of metallic colours and I'm considering a white one.

Are the custom colours flat? I would have been tempted by the orange one apart from our local council vans are orange too! Wouldn't like to be mistaken for a council vehicle.

Also really like the idea of vinyl wrapping - could be very interested in a full body matt black wrap - that would look mean as hell.

i've got to be honest guys i am starting to like the look of the FR in white... i always liked the crono yellow but every other Seat you see round my parts is yellow and i wanted to stand out if you know what i mean.

i dont have a problem keeping a white car clean either as i'm big into detailing, its convincing the other half thats going to be the problem. i had a white car many moons ago and she hated it !

right... i have done a fresh quote on the autolease system and i can get a quote on the FR, with media pack and candy white paint. all other spec is standard. i'm now tempted to see how much i am short of getting the convenience pack added as its shown as a £191 option on the system. If they will let me go the extra i reckon thats going to be the order i place with them

Isn't it weird how colour is THE most important thing to a woman?

tell me about it... i had an Octavia vRS (mk1) a few years ago and she didnt want to know about it until she actually saw it and sat in it... then it was fine...lol

the Leon was the same last week... she only sat in the passenger seat for 2 minutes and agreed that we should have one.

i mentioned the white to her last night and she said "white !?, what do you want a white one for !?"

i may have to use my cunning to convince her that the other colours are no longer available if i am to have some of the luxuries inside. :p

at the end of the day, i have to drive it and be happy with my choices but you all know the other half also has to have the buy in ;)

she has the new ibiza 5dr, looks really nice...has she washed it yet....nope. rant over.

get the options you want, change the paint.

Go for white and spend the money on the options instead. I really fancied the Orange but with the options on top it would have been too much.
