got my car back from Awesome gti saturday 29/08/09
new mods: K&N panel filter,
Milltek downpipe and decat pipe,
Milltek resonated cat-back,
Sachs performance clutch,
Awesome custom re-map.
now running 196bhp 397ft-lbs

just with the new sachs clutch improved the torque from 359lbs to 397lbs
awesome gti told my they were very happy with the amount of torque for the mods that were done to my car.

now am just waiting for a dry day to put the new mods to the test.

next for my car new front tyres has anybody got any advice on what make to get?

new exhaust

i didnt realsise there was front mud flaps available for the mk4 cupra.

thanks, mud flaps were on when i bought the car am glad there on they help keep the sides of the car clean for abit longer

very nice! how much was the bill from awesome, i'm very tempted!

thanks, the bill was quite abit, for everything fitted was £1815 i bought a lcr splitter as well, but i haven't had time to fit it yet.

Nice car, but thats a silly torque spike, look how quickly it drops off, if that was me, id rather have less torque and it hold longer ;)

Fair enough mate. We arn't knocking the car its just that the result is unusual. You might want to get it verified on another RR.

So what plans have you got for her?

Im new to diesel tuning, so does a back box do anything other than make it sound like a tractor? Or does it sound like a tractor?

:think:didn't think a Sachs clutch would take 400 ft/lbs
thought they were only rated to 380 ft/lbs

surely 400 ft/lbs is unacheivable with a remap, filter and downpipe.

is that on a standard turbo?

my ual mass sachs clutch is good for 410lb ft and the single mass is god for 420lb ft so jabba told me anyway!!
if that is the true power its good results for the 27 degrees in the rr room!
but like jonjay said get it verified somewhere else to be sure;)

but it is a lovely looking car you have mate

yeah its the standard turbo, and all that i have done is filter, tb decat exhaust and a remap.

yeah i'll look into getting my car on another rolling road and see what the results are.

next few little things which are being done in the couple of weeks,
lcr front splitter, seat sport strut brace, new front tyres.
then its coilovers, ARBs, brake discs and pads and then hybrid turbo, but just see how well the money flows in.

no doesn't sound anything like a tractor, i have the milltek downpipe and decat, resonated cat back exhaust (resonated cat back has a silencer in) , low revs sounds just like the standard exhaust but the turbo is louder which sounds really nice and then 3000rpm and higher its louder exhaust note which sounds good too.

yeah if you could put some pics of your car up on coilovers just see what it looks like.

whats coilovers have you got? am thinking KW v1s from what i've heard there the best you can get in that sort of price range.

yellow ibiza is the way to go :D
