JEEPERS, this stuff is frickin expensive!!!

If you look at this picture We'll need at least 4 x 45degree and 2 x 90 degree elbows
The 45degree ones are £23.99 each x 4 = £96
The 90 degree ones are £25.99 each x 2 = £52
Total £148 + delivery
Plus Forge MAP pipe and various other bits and pieces of aluminium for MAP to TB etc etc
Basicall looking at £300 ontop of the FMIC prices.
Not a cheap option
BUT
Will sound great, look great and be unique on here;)

Also Forge upper boost hoses are £120 inc VAT

See willie surely you wont need the upper boost hoses. Im predicting from what ive read that you are moving your battery to the boot. If so would it not be slightly better and cheaper to just use hard pipe for these aswell.

I've got a full set of Forge boost hoses already.
The post about was for people like yoursel who might be going from OEM pipes.
When I do mine it will be belt and braces:)
I'm not one for doing things by half

I haven’t seen any professionally build Leon projects on the forum with high power goals so I just thought it would be nice to share with ya guys on the Leon forum some information on my build that could be useful for everyone(in this thread intercooler piping)

If you don’t want me to I can go away:rolleyes:

O and yes the car is a 4WD Leon Cupra with standalone Haldex control unit and DOG gear box so no worries

And power goal is not 800hp I’m just building everything to support it if I make it we shall see

I'm sure everyone is very interested in your project, everyone loves a build thread, but you came on here with your first few posts with a 'know-it-all, I'm right and you're wrong' attitude which got folks backs up a bit ..... that's all. :)

PLEASE make a build thread. If you feel there is a little bad feeling (none from me) don't let that put you off. There are alot of people on here would be VERY interested in reading your build thread. Especially if you can give us detail down to the nuts and bolts of the project.
You have to remember that on SCN we have alot of followers but too little pioneers.

Please make up a detailed build thread

I’m sorry if that’s how it came across but that’s not at all the case I was just trying to share my ”professional opinion” and not be a know it all
You mentioned a few problems with aluminum piping and yes I felt the need to give an explanation for the problems you encountered and point out that it Is in fact incorrect never tried to turn this into a thread about my build but just wanted to get enough posts on the forum so I could open my own thread with pics of my build (something I can’t do at the moment because I don’t have a high enough post count)

Anyhow once all of my parts arrive I will post up my aluminum charge pipe thread with explanations for all to read will have also a RS4 8 pot brake thread up tomorrow so actually I will be starting my build thread with this at the moment I have no pics of my motor as it is not completely built yet only the head all the rest of the parts are getting ready for assembly
This is going to be a long process as I am in the middle of getting my in BSc mechanical engineering in the Technion

That’s it won’t contaminate this thread any more

Rob you have an awesome build and I have been keeping my eye on it for quite a wile ;)

The ends look rolled, ask the question to be sure. also find out what OD your FMIC is and use this as a guide to what you want and need. I'm planning on using 60 or 63mm OD stuff

same pipe runs for lcr on 210/225 motors

its made up from forge alloy bends in mainly 90 degree and stub lengths of 63mm, with a few angle adjustments on the cuts to get the flow right. no cut and shut shut tight bends, which is bad for flow efficiency

Do you know exactly what bends youve used bill from the charge pipe down. looks like mainly 90 degree bends
