Had a good graft today and got the front end back on ready for the MOT. Had a quick grind, paint and seal of the welded areas just to pass for now, I shall do a more pukka job durring winter when I plan to do some other body work jobs.

Not looking the tidiest but it does the job for a short while.........shiney chrome paint was free

Just need a new back box now and see if I can get the abs light out, might have to bribe the MOT man for that last one.

In reality you want to get it sorted. No brake bias without ABS (on ABS equipped cars) so you could end up with some scary rear wheel lock ups

Fully aware of this, hence why I really need to get it sorted or bin it (looks hard work?). Im sure it was the near side rear that used to play up so im going to have a good go over the wiring at the rear.

On the subject of dumping the ABS, could this not be partially done by leaving the ABS unit in and then fit a rear bias valve?

Excuse my poop picture but this is how the ibiza stands. 20VT exhaust fitted today and some little bits and bobs sorted including a sticky throttle cable........cacked myself this morning when the revs were holding. Going to see my trusted mechanic tomorow to see if its ready for the MOT.

Pipes just for the rears?

Probably going to be easier for me to sort the ABS out unless I can follow what someone else has done.

sadly all of them to a degree as the supply to the abs is 2x12mm and outputs 4x10mm

short of machining up a block to match the abs one and adding bias valves i gave up and went down the scrappy and made a good abs unit out of a toledo/octavia bits ;)

Huge achy balls then

I had a chat to my mechanic and hes already changed a front sensor previously as it logged a fault, no other sensors throw a wobbly. I'll have him check tomorow and if it shows again it must be the wiring.

We now have an MOT after sorting a few small issues :D

Did 50 miles in it last night to clear it out, running sweet bar its piss poor throttle response that it has always had. Just need to sort the exhaust as its vibrating alot when the engine pulls.

Happy days!

Throttle cables fine mate, it seems to get bogged down low in the revs. Im wandering if its this thing they call digilag, theres a good guide on setting up digifant on cgti but I dont have the tools.

Curby

Had a reeet good day yesterday at curborough, came back with lots of inspiration from the paddock.

On the time front I did pretty poor (I think anyway), best of the day was a 32.78 but all the other laps where in the low 33's. Previous best in the mk4 was 32.29.

The ibiza did its job but theres alot of room for improvement, getting shot of the ditch finders is a good start. My ABS issues decided to return leaving me with rear wheel locking into the first corner, think the front trigger wheels need refurbing/replacing. Going to start on alist of what I want to do and buy, any advice on what chassis mods to go for would be great. Or if you have anything for sale that I may need give me a shout, ARB's etc.

Few good shots from Deako, hope he don't mind.
