ATP has only gone and done it!!!! :D :D :D

You need to hold down the boot button for a few seconds, and then it works!!!! I think you hear all the doors do something, but only the boot unlocks. Then, when you close the boot, the car locks it again, and flashes the indicators!

Sweet - :)

Great thread guys, got almost all of the info i need. The only thing i cant seem to fathom is what part number will work wqith my car.

The current non flip key does not have the MHz printed on it, but i guess thats not of vital importance its the part number of the new flippy key i need.

I have a 2007 Seat Ibiza 1.4 Sport, can anybody help me on a part number of a flip key that will work.

Cheers

My unlock button unlocks everything

how do you get the boot button to do something

you have selective unlock turned off, and for the boot button to work, with the car locked, press and hold the boot button, it should unlock the boot and turn the alarm off, then when you slam the boot, it will lock and re arm the alarm

At the moment my 3 button flipkey , Unlock unlocks drivers door and then press again and it unlocks everything

I tried following the programming advice for key but just doing the boot button ?

so what do i need to do to get a boot button working on a flipkey which the other 2 buttons already work

Have you followed the above, and held down the boot unlock key? I had to do it for a couple of seconds I think.

You can't program the buttons seperately. When the other two buttons are working, the boot button should work.

hi guys, ok i bought the flip key withough the remote, i.e. the shell with no inside electronixs. what i now need is the remote to operate the buttons. if i buy a used remote off ebay (just to operate the buttons) will this cause any problems? can i buy a used one?i have my own transponder.

your spare transponder should just fall out your spare (non-remote) key?

you can get virgin transponders, which will then need to be programmed to the vehicle immobiliser, don't know if you can get that done somewhere, or if it is a dealer visit

I bought myself a flip key, followed the instructions, it was really easy, took 30 seconds and now it unlocks and locks which is brilliant (my original remote key is messed up, stopped working, new battery didn't make a difference!)

but the locksmith messed up the key cutting and he said there was no way I would be able to code the key with the immobiliser and he said that the transponder would break if I tried to swap it over (hundreds on SCN disagree :p)

so yeah now I have to buy another blade, going to get it cut from Timpsons this time see if that works :(

btw: the part number was HLO 1KO 959 753 G - FREQUENCY 434MHz

my key was 433MHz and the boot button doesn't work because its 1KO not 1JO from what I've gathered in this thread :) only cost £15 though
