I'm on my phone, I'll post some pics later.

The rears are coil bound and noisy. By KW's chart it's sitting 10/15mm lower than it should be. Hopefully they will sort it soon because the noise is getting on my nerves.

ive had a crap time with my car of late.... everything seems to need replacing from the springs (still waiting to here from KW) to the turbo because of compressor surge (could be something else causing the surge but its proving difficult to find if it is)...... ive hardly driven it because i cant be bothered with it right now. the wheels also need another refurb, so hopefully i wont be fighting Perfect paint too much with that too.

on the upside i do have a GT2871 on its way.... its not the root i wanted to go down, i really wanted to be different and use a turbo that hasnt really been thought of (getting a custom mani made is very easy for me) but i want to get the car sorted so i went with the tried and tested..... im sure i wont be disapointed.

as ive just had the engine rebuilt, money is a little tighter. Ill have to wait to replace the clutch (sachs organic and lightweight fly) which means running the new turbo on very low boost until i can justify the outlay or the old clutch fails. hopefully it will all be on for the AMD day so i can get it mapped and run on the rollers there. im hoping to kepe things safe (for the clutch) at around 310/320 to start with.
Sometimes going a tried method is the best way to do things especially if your have lots of troubles of late. I think your being very sensible running the new turbo on lower boost. Might go someway in reducing lag?

Doing a little reading on the GT2871 they seem good for 350bhp?

I don't think running low boost will reduce lag but it will save my clutch... And my wallet :)

a 60rs is good for 350 a 71 should do around 380, once I have a decent clutch I might wind the boost up for a rolling road day or two

Thing is though its not really the power that causes you problems in a FWD car its the torque.

You can have 350bhp at 7000rpm with just 262lb/ft. Being a turbo car helps as well due to a little bit of lag and the torque being more gradual not like a V8 or something that pumps 400lb/ft straight to wheels as soon as your on WOT

On your car if you held 317lb/ft till the redline you'ld have just shy of 400bhp

anyone else got some pics for comparison? you will need to give centre of wheel to arch dimensions or measure the amount of thread left on the adjuster to be of any help.

Mine have dropped 25mm at the rear from 14 3/8" to 13 3/8". The adjuster top is level with the top of the bit thats bolted to the spring platform. So full thread engaugment bit none sticking up above the adjuster

Make sense?
Any help to you?

Mine are KWV3's

i would have thought so. mine are V2's

i have 318mm on the rear with 10mm of thread showing at the bottom (thats the measurement you have to give KW) theres more than 10mm of travel left but only 10mm of thread showing
