Speakers not Working!

Hey guys, great website, have been on this before looking for help but cannot find exactly what I'm looking fo this time!

Seat Leon, Mk1. Fittied with the original Aura stereo. There is no sound from the speakers. I thought it was a lose wire or a short, as sometimes is came back on and then faded after a while - it seemed as though everytime the car had a knock, or hit a bump, it was knocking something out of place.
Anyway, checked the Head Unit wiring was intact and it was. So before i went to check the speakers, I took it to the dealer and he said, "The amp in the HU is gone, you'll need a new one. I was sceptical at first, but he wanted €300+ to fix it. So off i popped to Halfords last weekend, got a new JVC r301 HU. Wired it up no problem, it's working fine, except there is still no sound!!!!

I'm pretty sure I wired correctly, it came with an iso adaptor it was very simple. So now i'm back to square one and thinking that the promlem is lying with the speakers!

Does anybody know how i go about checking this?

P.S if the answer to this question is up here already, please point me towards it! Cheers :)

Be strange that all 4 speakers have gone also the tweaters.

Yeah! When it started off going like this, when i turned the car on, the radio would come on and everthin would be fine. But then it would just go off. Sometimes when the door slammed or when i hit a pothole. But no there is no sound at all!

Definitely a dodgy connection somewhere but after the iso behind the radio, i don't think there is anything till the speakers in the doors.

No the connection behind the stereo where the iso is, that's where you need to check.

Ahhhh very good! and when i find which wires ave no power, say, the front left - then do i go talking of the door panel? is there anyway to doube check first?

Post back ;) not sure if they have a separate fuse or not, you could check that.
But seeing as it is intermittent it does point to a faulty connection.
