Bill's right, found my old MAF, it's 60mm ID and my current MAF is 70mm ID.

Thats a massive difference in csa.
csa = pi * radius * radius

Cupra maff csa = 2828 square mm.
LCR maff csa = 3849 square mm.

increase = 136%

The multiplier should be 1.36 but this appears too high, i don't know why though.
Would it be possible to refit the cupra housing for one accurrate airmass log, watch fueling though.

I see it more like it's 16% larger - 213g/s x 16% = 34 + 213 = 247g/s

247 x 1.25 = 308bhp!

I'm maybe way off but it feels about right to me. I've never been one to get too hung up on figures, it goes very well on the road and that's all that matters.

Had an interesting and successful morning! After reading the Apexi boost controller manual I found some interesting settings worth playing around with for holding boost, So after some driving and trying out some different settings it now holds boost incredibly well, hardly moves at all off 1.45 BAR right through the rev range. The smaller WMI nozzle works better too, felt like it was pulling harder than before. I'll do more logs to check the timing pull etc. soon.

On the way home I came across a yellow Renault Megane R26 who pulled up along side me at the lights leading onto the city bypass. I just knew he'd go for it, sitting revving his engine and off he went, front wheels scrabbling for grip. I remained calm and just nailed it and I took off .... absolutely destroying him in seconds! Left him for dead, totally and utterly wasted him ............ I loved it!!! :D

Rob do I sense there is a massive smile on your face at the moment? :)

I get that precise feeling when something is on my rear - they get a lovely soot cloud and a grey dot in the distance.

1.45 bar @ redline is a really quick car Rob. Those r26's are a decent car so to blitz him proves the poke of your setup.

this will now be the true bench test for how these gt2x's......in terms of reliability and power

best of luck

Nice one Rob, should be some interesting figures produced next weekend.
There will be a couple of OEM cars there along with some serious cars too. This should help to justify whether the figures are good or not.
Wallaces rollers if anything under read a bit so will be good to see what you get.
Allen (DJHorace) will be taking my car as I'm offshore just now.
His car MK2 Leon Cupra has been on these rollers 4 times in various states of tune so his car will be a good bench mark for others too.
Would be good tio have some pictures of this day so I can see whats happened.
Especially your face when you see the results.

Not really, considering his isn't really a GT2X anymore, its a hybrid.

Sounds great Rob, must be a real quick car now. Intrested to see what it produces now its setup with WMI too.

Following you and your car with interest Rob, a source of inspiration to say the least, you're a perfectionist!

The R26's are I suppose quick for a standard off the shelf car. Was playing with a press car round Spa earlier this year the driver thought I had massive power because he couldnt catch/pass me and remarked on how well 'the old cupra went' lol. They're ok but when you think about bang for buck, you can't beat a decent modified LC/LCR.
I would say that mine was ever so slightly quicker in a straight line so for you to murder one puts you in a different bracket altogether, nice one :) Bring on the Porsches' !

Thanks for all the comments. I'm not too bothered about what it makes on a dyno, there are so many variables and factors and wildly differing figures that come out of dyno days it's hard to know what to believe. If it cracks 300bhp then I'll be happy but as long as it performs on the road where it matters then that'll do for me - I've been driving long enough and have driven enough fast cars to know that mine is pretty quick and I'm happy with it right now.

:rolleyes: I know it's a hybrid, and its core is still a gt2x, hybrid or not

but as this is probably the hardest that I have seen a gtx being pushed (actually documented on foums) then it will be an interesting factor for the build quality of ATP products....

I am sure it will be fine due to the uprated parts, but it was more of a curios question than an actual statement

Sounds like a great turbo setup now, would be cool to compare it to my GT2860 on the same rollers, probably not all that far off power wise till high rpm.

After swapping the WMI nozzle to a smaller one, I did some more logs, and it's worse! It's pulling more timing than before, now pulling 6 CF and it was no more than 3 before, so I'm switching back to the larger nozzle.

I revved it a bit higher (to 7k rpm) than before and got a peak airflow of 219g/s which I'm happy with.

My £90 ebay intercooler is also working well too, saw no higher than 21 degrees intake temps right up to 7k rpm.
