do those esmart controllers allow a boost change quick like whilst actually driving at all ?

the dyno lines crossing over in wierd places there too

Different scales/units of measure for the power and torque, otherwise they should cross at 5252 if you use bhp and lbft on the same scale;)

Yup. at the push of a button ;) my e-boost 2 has 6 different programs, all wich have individual settings for the actual boost, when the wastegate opens, at what RPM it can have certain boost and so on.. VERY handy on a FWD with this much power!
Another smart thing it can is to actualy control boost, so I in first gear only have 250HP, 2nd gear can have 350HP, 3rd gear can have 450HP and 4th, 5th and 6th gear can have all it can take :D Cause 500HP in the first 3 gears just shreds the tires madly! Even with my Toyo R888 semi slicks!
BUT, your software has to work with a electronic boost controller.. they usually don't ;)

Regarding BuildThread - ill start a new one here in a few days ;)
It's been a bumpy ride so far! But everything works now..

mate good job BUT: can i ask how much you spent doing that? my front wheels on a standard cupra spin. And a front wheel drive isnt meant to be super fast! why not buy a rear wheel, or even a standard super car rear or 4wd??

Have you got any performance times yet?

It'd be good to see how the increase in power relates to performance times[B)]

Launching that will be a task in itself. The staged in gear power limits look like a good idea.

How does the clutch feel in day to day running? heavy, normal, snatchy, smooth?

I seriously get the feeling that I may have to go with the HPA clutchpack for the DSG once the GT2871 kit is on, but hope that it will cope as it is. The manual clutch could be a blessing or a nightmare depending on how you like your clutch feel.

Love your motor though[B)]

Well.. Cost is one thing.. Ive made alot of this myself and i made some pretty good deals on alot of the parts - mainly because they are one of a kind ;) But if you were to buy similar hardware, i suppose you would look at atleast 13.000 with fitting and all.

When you add the quaife diff, the toyo R888 and control the boost in each gear so you don't have too much power in the first couple of gears - it won't spin that much unless you want it to!
If everybody would go buy an Evo or an M3 and tune that - the world would be a sad sad place to be  Ive choosen a car that from the factory drives like a beast if you ask me. I really like the look of it and people are turning their heads even when it's parked ;)

Sure a 4x4 or a RWD COULD be faster.. But fact is that im doing 0-100 in less than 5sec.. and ill beat the crap out of a Evo and an M3 from 100-200 - ofcause not if they are SUPER tuned ;) But to sit in this, knowing that the fastest M3 would loose as long as im past 60 or so, thats enough for me :D
Im not done tuning the car.. I think ill reach 600HP VERY soon and 700+nm - but i don't know if it's possible yet, cause no one have done it before :D and still on regular pump-gas..
Imagine what this can do with Racegas :D
Ive been told SO many times before i started to build this, that i won't get near 500HP on pump. And especially nowhere near 600NM on a 2.0L engine! well :wtf: made it already

Only have a few performance times.. I have to finish up a new valvecover first and some other minor mods.. After that - a new set of toyo R888 - and ill go make som more numbers :) But 0-100 is less than 5sec, if i get it right.. When we tested it on the street, we did 100-200 in 6th gear only, with around 400HP and 500NM at 12sec flat. With gear changes through 4th and 5th it did it in 9sec.. So with 500+ and 625+NM it'll sure do it faster!

The SouthBend Stage 5 Track Clutch is actually pretty easy to drive. When it's COLD, it's more on and off, but i have no problems driving it everyday downtown. It's not like an "old" raceclutch. This is almost the same. It's not hard at all. You barely notice it! But if you launch with 4000RPM on standard tires in 3rd gear, it will burst the tires into smoke. Clutch won't mind at all.
I have launch-controll installed. Clutch down, 2nd gear, floor it, then it holds the revs at the point i set it to. Got FULL boost when you lift your foot of the clutch and it launches HARD! An N/A tuned Golf R32 is side by side the first 20m and when i WOT shifts to 2nd - im way in front.. So it's easy to launch if you ask me..

Good job.. looks an awesome bit of kit..

Get it on the strip - looking forward to what sort of quarter mile times it runs.. guessing mid- to low-11s?
