Cheers mate! :) I'm still not happy with the fit of the boost gauge but its all plumbed in and working great so its alright for now. Just need a better fitting DIN plate...

get a din blanking plate from sere (seat part for the mk4) and drill a hole to fit the guage?

worth a try

im unsure if the copper peice should be in or out but if your using it and its fine in then all is good.

Got my blanking plate today when i saw it i knew it must be the same as yours tryed it and fits really poor i could probally get the electric sander on it but for the sake of £7 its hardly worth it oh well might just get one from sere motors instead.
out of intrest how much boost is your car showing would be intresting to know standard boost on an fr? as i beleive its not remmapped yet is it?

Peaks at about 12psi and settles to about 9psi... its hard to tell because "I have my eyes on the road at all times officer." :cartman: The car is standard on the engine front at the moment except for green cotton filter, Forge 007p recirc valve and drilled airbox.

Actually quite easy to fit into the centrevent, i broke the previous owners one so had to attack a new one with a 50mm holesaw and a dremel. Hardest bit is getting the boost pipe to go from the firewall to above the radio.

This might be the next stage of my boost gauge project. I think I will try and get a vent from a scrappy and give it go on that, instead of trashing one in the car already! When I had the gklovebox out, I could see the plastic pipes supplying the air, so drilling a hole in there and threading the vacuum pipe and wire through should be easy. Will get my gauge mounted in the new DIN plate first though I think!

How easy are the vents to get out?
