no option on space.. it kinda fits.. where it does as there is zero spare..
engine mounts mandatory to stop it floppign about fore and aft..

its going to be lively.

assembly next, once engine mount arrive, then the fiddly bits n bobs, then mapping..
its getting there. on the home stretch now. welding & fabrication is nigh on complete, just the intake to do when it it goes back on.

Bill the hard piped induction.
Is this SS or Aluminium?
How did you choose the size of this?
I'm looking to build the same for my LCR and had planned to use the MAP pipe and FMIC OD's as a guide. This will give me 63mm OD which is the same as you have in this project but mine will never be near this BHP.
Will this size of pipe give me any problems?
BTW I'll always use the OEM LCR throttle body

Barnsley's and Bill's thread, but - 63mm matches turbo outlet and TB, plus intercooler sizes nicely, plus 63m is the only practical choice, the next available size down is too small.

From the pics, Bill's done it in Stainless. It's easier to get mandrel bends in stainless, and it's easier to weld and to otherwise work with, although it is a bitch to cut and weighs a ton.

If you had aluminium, you would HAVE to beads the ends, IMHO, whereas with stainless you can just about get away with it, which is good because beading stainless is a royal pain. You could always lay a bead of weld.

charge pipework from me is alloy 63mm.. and bead rolled.. not stainless.
same goes for TIP, it is also alloy. 75mm to match turbo inlet & MAF tube.

tbody is an R32 75mm one

and the mounts arrived this morning!!! woohoo!

my ibiza runs 63mm pipe also and >600bhp, but I am considering changing to 75mm pipework and deeper fmic at some point.
