no I press just once, I just opened the car with the other key and the alarm did sound so it's got to be just the interior!! Now where's that fuse? The flap I pull to the right hand side has the plugs, cables etc but no fuse box! Where is this? Any pics please?

If you read the manual it is possible to deactivate the volumetric sensor with the remote...

wanted to type it all out for you but the missus has just got back in from work and she hates been a cupra.net widow haha

in a nutshell 'press the [lock] button on the remote twice to turn off the volumetric sensors and the deadlocks'.

in other words, only press the button once unless your locking it with a dog/child/wife inside.

its a flap on the end of the dashboard drivers side , the end panel has iirc a little cut out for a screw driver or something to go in and just pull the flap away , once you pull it you will think its on a hinge but its not , just pull outwards towards the door and towards you.

There is a fuse tool attached to the flap , one end does the small fuses the other end does the large ones.

i rang my local tuner who has vag com asked him if he can turn the sensitivity up on the alarm system and he said no you would have to upgrade your alarm.

That's a shame, when I had my 'beep on lock and unlocking of the doors I saw options for how the alarm sounds. Thought there may have been sensitivity too, sorry

yep - locked my missus in the car a few times after filling up and walking inside to pay for it (forgot she was in the car / force of habit - locking it as you walk away).

About 30 seconds later it'll go off and she'll look very pissed off at me as I walk back to the car

Haha have done this too, funny for me, not so for her.

I took the fuse box cover (at end of the dash) off once and it was a pig to replace, took me nearly 30 mins..............or is it just me and my fat fingers that struggled with the seal around it?

I don't know if the Leon model makes a difference to the location of the fusebox, the manual for mine did not help, open drivers door and there is a not obvious panel on the end of the dash, sort of triangular and about 7-8 inch long
