Slow Boost increase.. !

Hi,

Well Just drove down to london and back and noticed on the way back that my car was in limp mode.....! well i thought it was in limp mode.. whats happning is if i put my foot down in 4th/5th at 60mph ect.. the boost will hit 8psi straight away and then stay there for about 3 seconds and then slowly start to increase about 1psi every 2 seconds whilst my foot is still hard on accelerator...never happened before, it still does this in the lower gears...hits 8psi then 3-4 seconds later increases slightly quicker than the higher gears...

any clues what this is?

not faults with vagcom either..

Any unusual noises at all? Does it feel like it's holding itself back?

Starting with the obvious I'd check all hoses are tight and make sure the coils are down firm? Without any fault codes not sure what else to suggest

Maybe sticking DV. When was the last time it was serviced (the dv that is)?

no unusual noise's, it has gone sluggish due to the boost increasing slowly....

Check the n75 and its piping, mines ripped off and it wasnt boosting right.

its the split r dv, doesnt require a service,

well after checking most pipes, maf, dv ect..... still come to no conclusion off whats causing this issue, could do with a spare n75 valve see if that causing the problem,

any other suggestions?

sounds like you've cheked everything, as said, just the n75 to look at

off topic: if you aint goin to edition, do you fancy sending that turbo along with Jim and I'll give him cash It will be ok to hybrid it wont it?

well thought id try one last thing... disconnected me battery for a bit see if it resets anything electrical... just hooked it back up and took it for a spin and im back in my hybrid territory feels so much faster after the past few days. wondered what it was then? poss n75?

will just have see if it occurs again..hope not tho.

disconnecting battery wont cure it tho for good mate. Might do for now, IMO i think it will hit limp mode again. Could be wrong which hope i am because don't want it too for you. Just what i think tho

i know whats your saying... fingers crossed for me lol. wasnt really limp mode as it still boosted high just took way longer, so diconnected battery to see if it was a electrical problem and not mechanical...

Probably best to get some logs done if it comes back and you still don't get any codes so we can see what's going on

this has happened to me again the other day driving to and from blackpool.... 2nd time now and both on long distances.... boosts to approx 10psi then kicks in about 4-4.5krevs rising to 20psi, no lights or faults... only by disconnecting battery it clears it..
