hey guys seen a thread on the mk 3 section about home made intercooler sprays!!! just wondering if this is any good on diesels?? i have a fr 130 which has been mapped but cnt really afford a fmic at mo so if this would help id be interested!!!

Yep works just as well on diesels as on petrol cars. Lower the intake temps the better.

By the tim you buy and fit a water injection system you could by a good FMIC.

Well thats different mate as it`s a shame to leave a good WI kit laying in the garage if it could be fitted to your car.

Your getting water injection and spraying water on to a intercooler mixed up. They are two totally different things.

not yet mate cars been off road 2 months + , hoping to get it back by wkend or early next week,

bought new injectors a pump, plus other bits n bobs , so am hoping its nothing else ,

wiill let you know,

im half tempted to do what jonjay has with his wing nut mod , keeping the ASV

waht to spray onto the intercooler , i would have thought it would benefit in the hotter months , as said above it will lower the intake temps

i've done this mod, i've never got round to doing any logs but on hot days i've been for blast, then got out and felt the IC and it was warm to touch, then i've soaked the IC and been for the blast and got out to touch the IC and it was cooler.
