I did the dual air feed mod to an unmolested Dynatwist on the weekend but only managed 192 g/sec:confused:. Hopefully better results to come when i modify the housing. i need to beat 218g/sec to maintain the same performance as my jetex open cone. It was warm though.

Disapointing results Carl :(

I don't know how we managed between 210-220 with unmolested housings. All seem to be different but like you say... Temps make a big difference.

your using the larger maf housing though aren't you? so how would you convert that to if you were using the 3" maf?

+2 :D

i hope they will be anyway, it seems to be worth the effort tho, got some good comments off people even tho it does look fairly standard compared to yours and Nicks!

Hoping to make it the nationals, tho i am spose to be moving house on the 17th so not sure how to work both together, be interesting, really should get my priorities in order......................so i'll see you there then

i think the bigger MAF housing is less rescrictive so needs to be bigger to run standard figures. i ran 219 with a standard MAF than 220 with the larger ali MAF housing...both on the same sensor.

Hadn't you and Nick drilled holes in the end of yours though Aaron??

i cant remember what figures i ran before drilling those holes ED, i didnt label the logs well enough

I'm trying to keep a low profile in another persons ride thread so i'll only comment on mods relevant to Probees car too.
Sorry Probee. Johnathon... i'll start my own dodgy ride thread soon.

without WMI and running timing 6 boost 9 on a new filter and boost pipework the car seems to be flying but the flows gone back to how it was.

i tried swapping back to the old filter and the flow went back to 235gs, i think the old filter has had it (to much blowing out with an airline :)) so will not be using it.

heres some logs with the new filter. it feels very good on boost but is in desperate need of meth, its hot out there

Hope you get your rods sorted soon.

Well after following your advice i modded my dynatwist housing and my g/sec increased to 208.........not bad. This is with my oversized maff housing and got me 1.4 bar at red line. So i wondered what this equalled in normal LCR maff language so i cleaned up my spare maff and put it in a stock housing and relogged, 225 g/sec was reached but the performance wasn't quite as good. Only managed 1.35 bar at red line.
The oversized maff tube clearly under reads but flows better indicated by the increased boost generated, helped not only from its increased csa but also being descreened.

A few more combinations to try, but as you say it bloody hot out there.

something that john (wilko) said about pressure drop got me thinking.... i would say it has made a reasonably big difference in responsiveness.

i think you can see in the logs it is boosting better?
