Will these fry the wiring if used for main beam ? or would lower rated bulbs like 80w be safer for the wiring ??

fair enough. I tried them on my last car and couldnt see a difference TBH. They are also illegal if you are worried by that kind of thing... but I would doubt you would ever get stopped.

Thanks for the replys, true they are illegal but then so are HID kits i thought ? and its only really the main beam im after improving
The 100w bulbs are supposed to be "For off road use only" so if you do decide to use them I would only put them in the main beams. The legal alternative is of course is the high percentage bulbs, such as Osram Nightbreakers (90%) or Philips X-treams (80%) . The only problem that I have heard is they don't last very long.
I have Philips Vision Plus (50%) for dipped and Osram Nightbreakers (90%) for mains and you can definitely tell the difference compared to OEM.
Best lamps are XENON or HID !
