the mk2 Leon isn't exactly everyone's cup of tea, for example

In the end I didnt use it because I wasnt happy with the colour match to the rest of the mk1 trim.
However, back to the question of whether it would fit.
The mk2 knob has a base which is angled in relation to the centreline of the gearstick whereas the mk 1 base is at 90 degrees to the centreline of the stick.
The knob would have fitted the stick but would require the mk2 collar bit that fits underneath it and clamps the gaitor was the conclusion I came to.
You cant see the base of the knob in the ebay link but the overall shape looks the same as the one I had so I would guess it is pretty likely to be the same.
I wouldnt have thought the collar would cost that much from seat anyway.

sorry been busy - it just means that its not a direct fit but you have to use a cable tie to tighten it up so it doesnt fall off - it's really easy though !

I think that was the MK2 Leon's interior all over to be honest.
I still like the look if it but would like to see a pic.
pic does look good but after some negative responses and the mention of a cable tie, in the words of Jamjay and Duncan Bannatyne.........Im out
